Cuphea micropetala is a sub-shrub with a woody stem. Its herbaceous stems bear orange, yellow tube flowers. Native to Mexico, it is often grown as an annual, but it can overwinter well in the ground. This species tolerates light frosts and is able to restart from the ground in spring. Hardiness -7 °C

Cuphea micropetala est un sous-arbrisseau présentant une souche ligneuse. Ses tiges herbacées portent des fleurs en tube orange, jaune. Originaire du Mexique, il est cultivé souvent comme annuel, mais il peut très bien passer l'hiver en terre. Cette espèce supporte de petites gelées et est capable de redémarrer du pied au printemps. Rusticité -7 °C
